Malahide Summer Melodies

The Malahide Golf Club Singers and Choir, along with New Musical Director,Jenny Mc Cabe and Guest Master of Ceremonies, Aonghus Mc Nally presented a wonderful evening of song and entertainment on Friday May 18th. They presented a range of music from "Modern Favourites" to a "Tribute to Broadway". On behalf of the choir I would like to thank all the members and guests who supported us on the night and also to President Donal Lennon for his encouragement. A considerable donation was sent to The Hospice from the evening. Mary Hughes

Gavin O'Connor wins 2012 Club Championships

Gavin O'Connor won the Gibney's sponsored 2012 Club Championships (Tom Craddock Trophy) last Sunday in a very exciting finish narrowly beating his brother Paul by a single stroke. Paddy Canning won the Paddy Caul Plate, also sponsored by Gibney's, with an exceptional 6 shot winning margin. Malahide into 3rd Round of Irish Mail Foursomes

Malahide Golf Club are through to the third round of the Irish Mail Foursomes Trophy thanks to the efforts of Philip Smith and Conor Sutton. Malahide Community School wins Irish Schools Championships

Malahide Community School won the Irish Schools Match Play Championship at Strandhill Golf Club with a 4 matches to 1 win over De La Salle, Waterford. Two Malahide Golf Club members, Andrew Conlon and Darren Glennon, were part of the winning team with Andrew holing the winning putt to clinch the title. North Dublin Lady Captain's Golfing Ass.

MGC Lady Captains had a fantastic day at The North Dublin Lady Captain's Golfing Ass. Day in Rush yesterday. Congratulations to Anne Howlett, the overall prize winner and recipient of the Maureen Mc Kenna Trophy, presented by Mary Mc Kenna, MBE. MGC also won the team Trophy and Pennant awarded for the three best club scores from Anne Howlett, Pauline Duddy and Mary Hughes. A very rewarding day for Malahide with Noreen Farrell winning the prize for the longest drive. Well done Lady Captains, a first pennant for 2012 and hopefully more to follow.
