Malahide Camera Club

Last May, about twenty members of Malahide Camera Club got up at dawn and took some photographs of the Club. As you may have noticed, the Golf Club has used some of the photographs taken by the Camera Club on our new website, our new Marketing leaflet and on a DVD slide show.

The Camera Club was founded in 1995 in a venture initiated by Fingal County Council with the local community of Malahide. The club is affiliated to the Irish Photographic Society.

An exhibition of some of the photographs took place on the last weekend of January and was opened by the President and the Captain. (See photograph taken at the launch evening - left to right - Clive Brooks, Donal Lennon, Fred Moran, Joe Doyle, Chairman of Malahide Camera Club.)

The captain welcomed all to the exhibition and thanked the Camera Club members for taking the photographs and expressed an invitation to the Camera Club to return again this summer.

Prizes were awarded to the three best photographs taken in two categories - (1) Golf and (2) Nature & Wildlife.

The Prizewinners were as follows:

 1st - Clive Brooks - '7th Red Lake'
2nd - Shay Farrelly - 'Good Putt'
3rd - Diarmuid O'Donnchadha - 'Bunker Shot'
