The Women’s Irish Challenge – A Historic First for Malahide Golf Club
In March 2025, Malahide Golf Club proudly made history by hosting the first-ever Women’s Irish Challenge, a Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) event – the first of its kind ever to be held in Ireland. This landmark tournament saw top professional women golfers from across Europe and beyond compete on our 27-hole championship course, bringing world-class golf to the heart of Malahide.
The Women’s Irish Challenge forms part of the LET Access Series, which provides a pathway for emerging female professionals to progress to the full Ladies European Tour. The event attracted an exceptionally strong field, giving Irish golf fans a rare opportunity to witness the next generation of stars in action up close.
Over the course of three thrilling days, the atmosphere around the club was electric, with members, visitors, and spectators enjoying the unique buzz of tournament golf. The course was presented in pristine condition, thanks to the tireless work of our greens staff, and it provided a challenging but fair test for the competitors.
The tournament concluded with a dramatic final round, as [Winner’s Name] claimed victory in style, edging out [Runner-Up’s Name] with a superb final stretch of holes. It was a fitting end to an exciting week of golf that showcased the very best of the women’s game.
